02/01/2011 Shared hosting plans updated

We have completed the update of hardware we use to provide shared hosting services. Now 2x Intel Xeon L5640, 2.26Ghz, (12 CPU), 48GB RAM, , 4x 2000GB SATA are used to host dynamic content.
We have also updated our tariff plans, and basically:

1. Now for all packages we are offering:
- 5 times more disk space!
- 10 times more traffic (except for "Home")!
- 5 times more databases!

2. Now more RAM for php scripts is available:
- 48MB for "Professional" plan
- 64MB for "Elit" plan

07/19/2010 Hqhost.net Doubled Maximum Amount of Memory for PHP Scripts

In the attempt to provide better services we have doubled the maximum amount of memory a PHP script may consume. For "Professional" and "Elite" plans RAM has been increased up to 48 MB & 64MB respectively. For "Standard" the RAM resource has remained the same - 32 MB.
We hope these improvements will provide more opportunities for the growth of customers' projects and add up to our partnership in general.

08/25/2010 Changes for Payment via Webmoney

Dear customers,

This is to inform you that we have temporarily limited accepting payments via Webmoney payment system due to the detected vulnerabilities. Hackers managed to change phone numbers provided during the registration without confirmation of the change by entering the confirmation code, which allowed to bypass the security levels (such as activation, IP-blocking).

Due to the lack of safety for processing money in the Webmoney system and inadequate reaction of the Webmoney support team we decided to put temporary limitations for payments made via Webmoney and gradually terminate this payment method.

07/09/09 SMS Verification Introduced For New HQHost.net Clients

After the process of registration a client is supposed to enter the code sent to him via sms to the provided mobile phone number. In case a client doesn't have a mobile phone, the verification is done manually by the sales department staff members. In the nearest future for all clients who have passed verification, a free service of urgent sms notification will be available. They will be informed about site billing issues, account status and abuses received.

Designed for entry-level file/web servers and small business applications, servers supporting the latest Core i7 processors deliver additional levels of performance, power-efficiency and reliability.
Core I7 microarchitecture has many new features. The ones that represent significant changes from the Core2 include:

on-die memory controller: the memory is directly connected to the processor. It runs at a different clock (uncore clock) of execution cores;
three channel memory: each channel can support one or two DDR3 DIMMs. Motherboards for Core i7 generally have three, four (3+1) or six DIMM slots;
Single-die device: all four cores, the memory controller, and all cache are on a single die;
